Extension is pinched down to 1 1/8th inch a outlet. Approx. = distance from engine is 26" to muffler, 24" of muffler and 12 " to end = of tailpipe, the tailpipe ends mid seat position on the Wittman W-10. = This addition seems to remove the nasty snarl of the exhaust in the = cabin. It would be interesting to remove muffler and try 36 inches of = pipe with holes to see what the effect would be, but at 79 years of age = I may never get to this unless the inside of the muffler starts to come = apart. One a side note the Marcotte re-drive with the seal retainer and a grove = machined under the bearings for the prop shaft to relief the lube = pressure on the seal retainer is working well. The Marcotte has a self = contained lubrication system with 80W hypoid. The temperature sensor = installed indicates 180 degree, I purchased a power steering cooler to = install, but at this time I don't think it is needed. 13B installed in = Wittman W-10 Tailwind.
