The variable absolute pressure controller as received allows WOT at 28" MAP, or in other words, opens the wastegate to maintain 28" MAP at the minimum setting. The MAP can then be further increased using the linkage to the cam on the controller. The minimum setting appears to be easily adjustable with a set screw but I haven't tried that yet. It may be possible to adjust the minimum setting to 23" MAP.

Good to hear you’re making progress. I wouldn’t have thought the series 2 engine would present new challenges for oil cooling. I think the DB-30167 will be perfect for your application. The DB-30717 is cooling 38” MP / 7000 rpm for takeoff and stabilizes at 100-110F over OAT depending on coolant temp.

Does the wastegate actuator allow you to run full throttle and operate at 23-30” MP? Or do you need to close the throttle to operate at 23” MP?
