I do like the D585 because of the external heat sink which gives the impression of keeping the semiconductors cooler but I didn't mean to imply that the AC Delco D580 was not OK. I still have not heard of a failure on any of them. I still use them on my Renesis RV-4.

An ebay store in the States is selling D580 coil packs under the Herko brand for $15USD each.
I currently have Renesis coils and was planning to change to D580 fired by my EC2. Has anyone had failures of D580 coil packs and are there D580's and D580's.
Is anyone aware of cheep copies that may not be up to full spec?
