Richard, thanks & you're on the presenters list.

Mark, can you motivate your buddies out there in central TX? & talk about your 3 rotor experiences?

Sorry to be a day late in responding; it took the power company over 20 hrs to get us back on line after the storm last night.

Thanks,

Charlie

Hi Charlie,
I will be there tent camping.
Can give a single rotor update covering some technical issues, not necessarily rotary specific.

OK boys & girls, here's your official invitation to our rotary/alternative engine seminar here at Slobovia Outernational (2nd hosting of the Millennium and the first this decade :-) ).

I'll be working up a cheat sheet with driving directions for those who haven't visited in the past. For flying info, just plug 'MS71' into Airnav's airport search function. You can also find us using Google Maps.

For those who don't know, we live just north of Jackson MS on highway 49 N at an airport community known as Slobovia Outernational Airport. Slobovia is a private ('restricted' on the Memphis sectional) airport, so typical 'land at your own risk' cautions apply.  Most of our bedrooms in the house are already spoken  for by 'early adopters', but we have lots of floor space in the den and hangar with air beds & air mattresses (bring a bedroll & towel/wash cloth, if you can). You're welcome to tent-camp or park your (earth-bound) RV in the yard, or if you prefer, there's a private campground with hookups about 2 miles away. Hotels are about 20 minutes away in Madison, Ridgeland, and Jackson. Feel free to call (1:00PM-9:00 PM if calling on a weekday) or email for more info on hotels, etc.

If you're willing to do a presentation, *please* give me a call or drop me a line. We all love to get together for fun/fellowship, but we also want to soak up as much new info as possible when we get together. I'll have a sound system, computer, video projector and overhead projector available for presentations.

Tentative schedule is arrivals any time on Friday Sept. 28 (Thursday's fine if weather dictates) with supper at a local restaurant, presentations/discussions/plane rides on Saturday with meals here at the airport, and supper Saturday night an another local restaurant. Sunday we'll keep open for discussions, rides, etc,  and departures, for those who must go home (or want to party elsewhere).

After getting your collective 'ok' to open it up for all alternative engines, I spoke with Patrick Panzera from Contact Magazine about promoting it, & he thought we might get up to 200 people if he promoted it as such in the mag. Since it's just my wife & I managing the logistics, that would be more than we could handle. So, I'm sending the 1st invitation to the rotary list. If there's still some capacity left after your RSVP's, I'll let Patrick promote it through his magazine with an open invitation to all alternative engine groups.

Looking forward to seeing y'all in September,

Charlie & Tupper
