It has always seemed to me that the best thing to do is to install underdrive pulleys, which allow the water pump and alternator to turn at more normal speeds with the engine at high RPM.  A restrictor in the system may cut down on cavitation but it doesn't do much for flow rate.  These parts are designed to run with the engine at 2500-3000 RPM which is typical in the car.  Better to adjust the system so they run at the right speed rather than try to make up for the excessive speeds elsewhere.

Water Wetter is good stuff (and soap is about as good for cooling, except without any anti-corrosive properties) but has no antifreeze properties.  If your aircraft is ever parked in below-freezing temperatures, you have to refill with real antifreeze.

My SWAG ( a technical term, used in the military) for 5,500 would be that 3/4" just now tried. Also the water wetter from Red Line oil company and just plain water is the very best coolant. I used 10% glycol (for a higher boiling number) half a teaspoon of Dawn dish soap (poor mans Water Wetter) and a 17 pound Cap on a remote make up bottle. Three 3/16" holes in a thermostat will cool the rotary at racing speeds on a cold day and the engine will not even warm up. Had to drop back to the one 3/16" bypass hole to get up to 150 degrees, with a third of the radiator taped over.

What would a Wild Axx Guess be for a restrictor for our 5000 to 7000 rpm range be
in your opinion (subject to each individual users testing of course) whether it be in the
form of a smaller diameter return hose or a metal disc ??.................
