Will miss it but too many things going on at the same time to make Osh. this year.  Closing on a house I just sold and also entered a kart race all scheduled the same week.

I ended up going with aluminum.
The plate was fabricated from 1/4" Aluminum.
The bushing is threaded at 1/2" - 13.

The weight turned in at 5.1 oz. each.

I know, an old thread, but; yes, the oxide layer that forms inhibits further
corrosion of the SS; but imbedding in epoxy (fiberglass) protects it even
better.
