I know that one way to make things work better is to send the prop back to Craig and have him modify it. Yet, I want more power and the target max RPM is 7500. Plus I need more cooling. I'm maxed out on a 60 degree day, so it's time to do it all. Plus, some of my stuff is a little bit less than professional (intake manifold) and I can take care of that too.
David.
Thanks for the clarification on the radiator size and the hose sizes. Yes, I need the space. So a radiator of about 3x18x22 would fit better and be about the right size? Is the 16 and 20 AN16 and An20? I'll get a slightly bigger intercooler than the stock 91 RX-7. Must keep detonation away, must keep detonation away, must ....... I really like my Hushpower 2 Mine is the quietest airplane around by far. Just trying for less weight. Thanks for the heat sheild info, based on your extensive experience. And SS is a bitch to work with! George, I'll talk with Burns about what they have seen with the turborotary guys
Chris,
No porting. Just a stock 2004 grey market engine build up by Bruce T. I'll look into the preformance 46mm. I'll probably stay with the dry turbo.
Mark,
I remember Lynn's posting about 160 degrees being optimal and that's one of the issues.
Tracy
Thanks for the overlap info. I'll copy one of the "log" headers used by the after market turbo kits. This will make it MUCH easier!
Ed,
Looked at all that and tried in all. Had fun doing it too! Still needs more cooling and I want more power. Besides, building is often fun!
