I have my oil cooler mounted about 6 or 8 inches above the oil level in
the pan. Also, the oil cooler is mounted upside down as compared to an
RX-7 installation. The oil input is at the bottom and the output is at
the top. I'm concerned that the oil cooler will drain back into the pan
when not running. That would mean I would have to pump enough oil to
fill the oil cooler before getting oil to the engine at each start.
Will the oil drain back through the oil pump? Is this something I
should be concerned about?
