I guess I will have to drain the system and more closely inspect the mounting base. It is not leaking from the surrounding hoses, but seeping...well seeping in a pretty large amount from the seal on the filter at the mounting base. Would a small bead of silicone cause a problem I am unaware of. Of course, I would rather it just work right. Sigh.
