Good feedback.

Correct - I made a mistake with the comment about 'turning on all load= s' that was my battery test back with a carb'd engine! Opps.

Gary - The comment "most automotive systems will work until 6V" maybe = on the optimistic side.  I'll isolate the loads for various sub system= s and use my HP Power Supply to see what is going on (HP6033A - 0 to 20V; 0= to 30Amp).  Nothing worse than discovering the ignition coils won't f= ire will less than that 8.2V, or the ignition circuit will start pulling 6 = Amps to compensate for lower voltage!   Little things like 12V re= lays will need 9V to close, but remain closed down to 4V.... = ; Only way to find out for sure is test everything.

Worst mistake ever... the old "starter on top of motor/bell housing" 1= 2A engines.  I had a worn starter bushing, so once the starter engaged= it would not disengage.  This was in my RX2. Jumped out, battery= still cranking the engine, popped the hood open.  Right when I w= as going to twist off a battery connection, looked down and watched th= e "+" post melt right into the battery!  I was like "What the Heck....= . "  BOOM!  Battery exploded, blew the top off, acid went al= l over the place.   You would have thought by now I would have le= arned to stay away from rotary engines. :)
