I've been messing wit= h this, trying to stop some minor oil leaks for two years now and finally got fed up and decided to pull the oil pan off and re-weld it. Removing the oi= l pan requires that i pull the engine. ;-( Anyway, I got the pan off and cleaned it up and re-welded anywhere it looke= d even slightly suspicious. I'll be sure to pressure test it before reinstalling it on the engine. The first time I used red RTV, this time I'= m using Ultra-Grey. Good luck on your efforts.
