Results look real good, Ernest. But like Ed, I still wonder about the durability. You probably recall that all of my professionally applied coatings seemed to have come off during a detonation event. Not something I plan to repeat and I can't think of a way to test for it, but I'd guess that would be the worst you can plan for. I sure hope they last, because I'd like to try it. I'm spreading valve grinding compound onto the housing, and then pushing it around on a glass table top. Results are good, even if the process is somewhat laborious. It leaves a roughended texture, which should be just about right for applying TechLine's DFL1. The housings are to big for my toaster oven, so I'll most like convert my homemade blasting cabinet to a homemade oven with a few halogen light bulbs.
