You might want to pass along to your group that the head liability lawyer
at Mazda America, who is a VERY active homebuilder, and who doesn't like
seeing Mazda engines on homebuilts, nonetheless says that Mazda
is not now
suing or threatening to sue anyone for using their engines in aviation.
I also spoke with Powersport, one of the highest profile companies doing
Mazda conversions for aircraft, they said they haven't heard
anything like
this.
I think this is urban legend.
