If you add three 6MM, threaded with inserts, holes just south of the three holes in the top of the drawing, you or anyone else, can either install the Renesis OR the stock 13B oil pan. The original holes are used to bolt the plate to the engine and the three additional holes will accommodate three of the 13B oil pan bolts. If you install the Renesis pan, the three holes for the 13B are covered up. I can't tell you the dimensions for the three holes, but you could get them off a 13B oil pan. This allows 5 quarts of oil in the sump, plus whatever is in the cooler, engine, etc. I haven't done it yet, but I expect that it will take 7 quarts to change the oil in my engine with this setup. I've attached the drawing for anyone interested. I haven't had it plotted to full size scale yet so there may be some errors. With some of the excess Al I'll make a spacer to fit between the oil pickup and engine so the pickup is lowered by the same amount as the plate. The oil pickup uses an O ring for a seal so I'll get the spacer machined to take an O ring as well. The drawing shows 2 spacers I thought I may as well have a spare since it's just scrap material. Greg, while you are having this plate = made…

If you add three 6MM, threaded with inserts, holes just south of = the three holes in the top of the drawing, you or anyone else, can either = install the Renesis OR the stock 13B oil pan.

The original holes are used to bolt the plate to the engine and = the three additional holes will accommodate three of the 13B oil pan = bolts.  If you install the Renesis pan, the three holes for the 13B are covered = up.

I can’t tell you the dimensions for the three holes, but = you could get them off a 13B oil pan.  This allows 5 quarts of oil in = the sump, plus whatever is in the cooler, engine, etc.  I haven’t = done it yet, but I expect that it will take 7 quarts to change the oil in my = engine with this setup.

Hi, I started the engine mount for my RV8 with = Renesis engine today. Copying the basic design of the CCI mount for which I = was ripped off, I bought some Al plate 0.5" thick to fit between = sump and engine and made a CAD drawing so the water jet cutters can finish it = off.  I've attached the drawing for anyone interested.  I haven't had it = plotted to full size scale yet so there may be some = errors.

With some of the excess Al I'll make a spacer to fit = between the oil pickup and engine so the pickup is lowered by the = same amount as the plate. The oil pickup uses an O ring for a seal so I'll get the = spacer machined to take an O ring as well.  The drawing shows 2 spacers I = thought I may as well have a spare since it's just scrap = material.
