I have been flying with the same smog pump as my vacuum pump for almost 10 years. However, the way it is oriented in my tractor installation - the outlet may get a bit of oil which may keep it lubricated at bit - I know its now suppose to need any, but after 10 years and still producing vacuum, something is working right. I flew a while without the smog pump and all I had to do was to switch to a shorter belt and then wrap the belt around main pulley, water pulley and alternator pulley - oops, I just recalled you also have an compressor pump - is it driven off the same belt??
