Well, I'm still thinking hard about using the single engine in the new RV-3B.  I'd really like to use the stock mount (conical would be the easiest), then make an adapter to go from that, to the single rotor.  I think this would be far more doable for the short single rotor, than when trying to install a two rotor.
 
The single is about 23" long from pulleys to prop hub, and I'm trying to find out how long a typical O-320 is.  I'd want to know how long it is from the mounting surface on the case to the prop hub.  Does anyone have one that they could measure?
