If that was the test, the light is providing enough current flow to activate the injector. If you connect one side of the light to BAT and the other side to the injector pin (not the power one), then the light will come on when the EC2 activates the injector. The series resistors act as current limiters for the low impedance injectors. I think you would see the light flash when the injector is activated no matter which side of the resistor you're on, but you would get the full 12V on the EC2 side. That would only tell you the signals were correct, not that the injector was actually working. Bob W.
