Hi Bob,
Your schematic for the 20B must be different than
mine for the EC2-A3 20B. My schematic shows and describes the relay as
supplying power to the secondaries when the relay is not energized (see
excerpt of manual attached.) In this case the relay is closed until
activated. It looks like we have to refer each to our own manual or
directly to Tracy, since systems that appear to have the same hardware may be
wired for different functionality that would be program revision
dependant. At least in my case, I can not make a direct replacement of the
electromechanical relay with the SSR style without a EC2 program
revision.

uses the MOSFET staging relay, rather the version that uses the electromagnetic
relay. When in injector test mode, I get firing pulses on all
injectors. In this EC2 configuration, the staging relay is closed when
there is no signal to the relay, so the secondary fire also. If you have
the version with the MOSFET SSR relay, I would suspect the signal line to the
relay works in the inverse with a corresponding change in the program logic from
active low to active high on the staging relay channel. Disconnecting the
signal line from the MOSFET SSR (Tracy's drawing, terminal 1, connection A) and
running a line from the terminal to ground should close the relay and the
secondaries should fire as well as the primaries. >>

Something to do with the injector staging relay used on the 3-rotor
units. If you hear the injectors click when you press the primer (store)
button, then I would conclude that they're good. Concerning the primaries,
you could connect one at a time and press the store button and listen to see if
it responds. Then repeat the process for the other two. I don't
think this works on the secondaries. >> >>

coils. I can hear the injectors when I use the primer function, but I get
nothing on the continuous injection or the continuous coils. So mode 0 is
working for prime, but I get nothing on mode 1 and 9. Its late, Im tired, and I
havent checked anything with a test light yet. will start that tomorrow. All
grounds are hooked up and grounding. All plugs in tight on the EM2. EC2, and

there. Am I overlooking anything simple ????? >>
