This drug is definitely on the FAA's forbidden list. The strange thing is that I have been on this medication since 1989 and have been flying since 1995. I have never had a problem with the medical; I guess that means that OK City has just never caught the problem because I should have never passed the first medical. I am pretty surprised that they do not have a computer scan to find these disqualifications. In any event, now that I know about this problem I do not want the FAA to disqualify me on my next physical which would make me ineligible to fly Sport pilot. Lynn,
I'm on a medication for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) called Bentyl.
