George,
Myself and others are working on single rotary to 125hp to maybe 130hp.
It uses the RX8 high compression rotor with 3mm apex seals.
weight approx 240 lbs with Tracy's PSRU perhaps 210 lbs with lighter PSRU and perhaps 170 lbs with Richard's aluminium housings.
To date it's a matter of on going development, as individual limited funds allow.

Hi list.  I just joined recently.  I am considering rotary power for my RANS
S-16 (www.shekari.org).  I'm looking for a powerplant in the 130-140 hp
range.  Most of the rotary conversions I've read about are higher power than
that.  The S-16, for those not familiar, is a little smaller than an RV-6,
about 930 lb empty weight.  Factory recommended engine is the IO-240
Continental at 125 hp, although several examples have O-320s in them.

I talked to Bruce Turrentine, and he seemed more interested in the Renesis
and sort of discouraged me on the 13B citing parts availability.  I guess my
question for the list is, is there a good configuration for that horsepower
level, maybe the 12B or something else? I would plan on using Tracy's
reduction drive and engine controller.

The bare engine weight of the IO-240 is 240 pounds by the way.

Thanks,
-George Harris
