 I   figured I would only  have to check the connections once (even if I did have to solder that *&^% 37 sub D connector on twice) - I didn't think I would have to check the connection periodically {:>).
 
what I really didn't consider was the need for hauling the unit out for reprogramming.  Humm, that cable extension will probably seem a better ideal the more years I get under my belt.

Pg 1 Para. 5 of EC2 installation guide reads:
 
"I would also suggest that the EC2 be installed in an easily accessible location where you can visually verify that the connections to the EC2 are properly made. "    : )

So you are saying that we should mount the EC2 some place that is very accessible?

 I would have to unload and take out my seats to get under the instrument panel and take the EC2 out - never thought about its location at installation time - thought I would never have it out from under the panel - boy! was I ever wrong {:>)
