Thomas, a few years back, dimple tape was promoted to work like the vortex generators, being added to the main wing  and also on props and canards.  There was an article in Sport Aviation on it, but I don't recall when.  One of the fellows here tried 1/8" pinstripping tape, 2 each placed 1/8" apart on the wings and prop spanwise of a Thorpe T-18 and he claimed is was good for 7 mph.  You need to cover with paint or polyurethane to keep it in place.  JohnD

Where would you use "Dimple Tape"?

Dave, you can always add dimple tape.  One of the Tailwind guys said his plane was $240.00 lighter, no faster though.  JohnD
