Thomas, a few years back, dimple tape was promoted
to work like the vortex generators, being added to the main wing and also
on props and canards. There was an article in Sport Aviation on it, but I
don't recall when. One of the fellows here tried 1/8" pinstripping tape, 2
each placed 1/8" apart on the wings and prop spanwise of a Thorpe T-18 and he
claimed is was good for 7 mph. You need to cover with paint or
polyurethane to keep it in place. JohnD
