Thomas,
Many of the German cars are now meeting high emission control le= vels. They were late to the table emissions wise but have hit it with a ven= gence. I heard that in the Ruhr valley that they were forcing alternate day= use the smog was so bad. (even plates on even days, odd plates, odd days) = I don't know about current levels. The Audis were first to use the Siem= ens system, they are a bit more adventurous than Merc. I believe D-B is dev= eloping their own system in cooperation with Bosch. The Siemens injectors a= re piezo driven and have a phenomonal response time. They also can run with= lower lubricity gasoline. I believe several Japanese cars also use the sys= tem under license. The thing is you need the injectors, the pump, (a new li= ghtweight pump BTW), the plumbing and a control signal. I think Tracys unit= will be able to drive these injectors! For emissons the profiles are very = carefully developed. We won't need anything near that close, not needin= g to meet those standards.
