I heard that in the Ruhr valley that they were forcing alternate day use the smog was so bad. (even plates on even days, odd plates, odd days) I don't know about current levels. The Audis were first to use the Siemens system, they are a bit more adventurous than Merc. I believe D-B is developing their own system in cooperation with Bosch. The Siemens injectors are piezo driven and have a phenomonal response time. They also can run with lower lubricity gasoline. I believe several Japanese cars also use the system under license. The thing is you need the injectors, the pump, (a new lightweight pump BTW), the plumbing and a control signal. I think Tracys unit will be able to drive these injectors! For emissons the profiles are very carefully developed. We won't need anything near that close, not needing to meet those standards. Bill Jepson
