George,
Did you take Tilton to task on the = issue, a nice=20 profit margin and expecting to double-up on your misfortune, this is not = what I=20 consider a reputable company.
George (down under)

My=20 oiling system for the RD-1A has been challenging.

I used a = Tilton=20 gearbox pump ($199 from Pegasus Racing) to circulate the
oil = through a=20 transmission cooler, to cool my homemade tranny based gearbox.
This = worked=20 fine, as there was no pressure involved.

The system appeared to = work=20 fine on the RD-1A at first, but a leak developed
in the head of the = pump,=20 after a few hours.  I ordered both rebuild kits for the pump, but = they=20 did not contain
the seal that had failed, which was the internal = relief=20 valve seal.  After many
consults with Tilton, they explained = that I=20 would need a new pump, as that seal
was not available. I then found = the=20 exact same pump at Tractor supply for $70.
It is a Flojet water = spray=20 pump.  I replaced the seal and was back in business for another = few=20 flights.

I then plugged off the internal (leaking) relief = valve, and=20 installed a hydraulic
adjustable relief valve in the pressure = line. =20 This item has solved the leak for
the time being.  The = pressure is set=20 at 50 psi (it will adjust to above 100psi).

I have an pressue = alarm and=20 temp sender on the pressure line, we'll see.
