Hi Ben, FWIW, my bet would be that the oil from the redrive will be whipped up pretty well. Yes; and that's a good reason for having the drive drain come in above the level of the oil in the pan; otherwise the frothy oil in the line will back up as it "floats" on the oil backing up the line from the pan.
