Subject: [FlyRotary] Tuning the = EC2

I need a little help here with this Mode 8 stuff.  = Ed, I did=20 some tweeking at cruise today to check the timing, and then I=20 remembered why I quit trying last time!

Testing was done at 4000 MSL, 80F, 4800 RPM, about 23 = inches=20 MAP.

I get absolutely no change of anything in the "increase"=20 direction.  In the "decrease" direction, just one click = gives me=20 a drastic 2 GPH drop in fuel flow, and the EGT shoots up with = a=20 noticeable loss of power.  More clicks in that direction = change=20 nothing.  No matter how many clicks I go toward the = "decrease",=20 it only takes one click back to the right to restore the = original=20 condition and more clicks to the right change nothing.

Am I going nuts here, or what????  I did it several = times at=20 different RPMs, etc, and always got the same sort of = results.  It=20 is like a two-position toggle marked "good/bad"!  I have = checked=20 the static timing previously, and it is right where the = instructions=20 say to put it.

Ideas????
