Actually, I've been harassed quite a bit by
rotary non-believers at the airport. Oddly enough, it's having just the
opposite effect on me. I have to confess that I "decided" Saturday to pull
the wings off the plane, and take it home to remove the turbo, and rebuild
the cowl. During the process of removing stuff, one of my "friends" stopped
by and proceeded to take some sort of I-told-you-so pleasure from my task.
He went on to suggest that I should use the time at home to put a Lycoming
on instead. Not long after he left, I found myself re-assembling everything
again, so the plane is right back where it started.
Either I just became more determined to prove
this will work, or I need professional counseling. It's too close to call
:-)
Rusty (I'm afraid, but not for the reasons I originally
imagined)
