Ed,
You're DIE stuff has got me thinking. Scary isnt it.

The plenum for my turbo intake is due to be welded up next week.
We were going to use a 3 1/2 inch aluminum tube perpendicular to the
runners, cut away to take the ends of the Lamar runners. As I understand it,
the DIE requires a path from one rotor to the other. So, I'm now thinking
that the back of the plenum should be curved the other way to provide that
path, and the throttle body should perhaps go underneath. The runner length
is fairly constrained at this point at about 23 inches.

I'm not a "rhino 3D" expert, but perhaps the attached 2D drawing might help
get across what I'm talking about.  The circle indicates the throttle body
underneath.
Perhaps some internal baffling could be added to provide a curved path for
the primaries. The dotted line shows this.

Does this make any sense, and is it worth considering before I have them cut
and weld?
Input and suggestions would be appreciated.
Regards,
John Slade
