Not a bad idea Bill, but one is as good (or better than) three.  Don't try to separate the drive by evenly tightening all three screws because this significantly increases the force required.  As soon as you crack it loose on one side it pops off immediately. 
 
Once again, a light coat of oil on the plate prior to seal up will ease the job greatly and does not cause leaks.

I put in threads for three jacking screws (3/8"-16). I have yet to run the
engine or attempt to disassemble, however.

         Here is a picture. The circle is the OD of the PSRU housing. The
three tapped holes are toward the outer edge. Appears to be plenty of
sealing area inward of these holes. I chamfered the holes so there were no
burrs or protrusions to hold the PSRU housing away from the plate surface.

         We shall see how it works. I figure I can put in set screws with
pipe dope if any of the holes leak oil.
