Tracy; While scanning old issues for
information on cowling construction, I came across an article in the March 1986
Sport Aviation, explaining air inlets in round configurations. While I
don't understand the engineering aspects, there is a drawing of the various
shapes of inlets and their efficiency. The bell shape is pictured as the
best followed by the tapered one. So your assumption of this subject being
something to argue about is certainly correct. JohnD From the
