Guys, I don't understand why you are installing filters AFTER the 

pumps? I sell large SEPAR diesel fuel filters and I always recommend 

all the filtering to be done before the pumps and out of the tanks.

 

That’s just fine for diesel fuel.  It has low vapor pressure.  Not true for mogas, especially if warm and at high altitude.

 

  Any water or debris if it's allowed to reach the pumps, will be 

beaten into smaller particles and may be PUSHED thru the filter, or 

even will damage the pumps.

 

Yes; trap the water and debris upstream from the pump, fine filter downstream.  If you have a boost pump always running upstream it is not as much an issue, but for those of use with gravity feed upstream, a fine filter upstream from the pump is not a good idea – it is asking for a vapor lock.
