Thanks Rusty!

A gold mine of info. Actually after re-reading and looking at Ed's pics of his evap cores with the tanks cut off, I have decided the Ford units are perfect. They just need the baffles drilled out. Instead of having 5 holes, they have a slot all the way across with turbulator fins between the plates. I will post a pic tomorrow, to tired tonight.

The only question is how to get all the metal shavings out after drilling out the baffles without clogging the core. I guess flushing with a garden hose in both directions should work.

Hi Monty,

For more fun than you can stand, go to-  http://www.frigidair.net/Parts/product_EV.html

On the left, you will see all the different makes of cars, and can sift through them to find any particular model.  Toward the center of the page, you can click on "evaporator photo gallery", and pull up a picture, and dimensions of any of the cores you want to look at.  Unfortunately, this isn't quite as easy as it could be, but it will certainly get you through many a sleepless night :-)

Cheers,
Rusty (STILL not quite done wiring the single rotor Kolb...)
