        I'm guessing, but I suspect that the DAR didn't know any other way of not allowing the dim position lights. It is unlikely that he would have the proper lightmeter to prove the lights were substandard. (I think I'm the only one that ever actually measured the light output. I suspect that GS-Air never measured the light output.)

        No one has reported a problem so far with FAA inspection of my lights. Quite the opposite, in fact. I have sold hundreds of them. The main reason for this is that they are REALLY bright to the eye. When you look at them, there is no question in your mind that they are bright enough to meet specs. My lights put out more than the required amount of light.

        I was worried that this sort of thing would happen with the GS-Air lights. It makes all LED lights look bad.

        What a mess.

        The LED position light kits that I sell have never had any
difficulty passing FAA inspection.
