I was out there most of the rotary fly-in weekend, getting things organized and hoping to make some good progress. Well, it seems that the word traveled fast amongst the ole-timer RV builders around the Lockhart airport and it wasn't long before there was a nonstop parade into and out of my hangar. (Forget getting any work done) If I'd charged admission, I could cover the cost of a really nice custom paint job. These are the typical certified engine bunch, but they all seemed very impressed with the 20B FWF package, especially when I reminded (which I did often) that it only has 4 moving parts. And when they asked about the horsepower, I would tell them it easily puts out 275-300 hp, more if I wanted to peripheral port the engine. The typical response was, "wow, that should really make this baby go". They're all anxiously looking forward to hearing it run. I'll be able to do that once I get the EC-2 & EM-2 back from getting the latest upgrades by Tracy. Also, I need to install the prop so I can open the throttle and add some real power. A sign was posted on the cowl of the Cessna 150 " all I want for Christmas is a Rotary engine ".
