Joe,
No... I don't have the 40 hours flown off yet.  I had a couple of issues
with Controller / Tachometer that I had to resolve, and trips to SC have
been severely limed due to working a full time job, and also building a
house at the same time.

I did have a good flight about 3 weeks ago when I went down there.  Only
flew about 1.5 hours, but no issues.  Total now is just over 31 hours, so
it's getting closer.  Problem is right now, I don't even have another trip
there on the calendar.  Just got back from a cruise that the wife and I
scheduled almost a year ago, so the house isn't making very good progress
either.

I still read most (some) of the FlyRotary emails, but I haven't had the time
to be very chatty.  Not only that, but when I get started thinking about the
plane, the house building suffers.

Good luck with the neighbors.  Maybe you could tell them that it is a salad
shooter.

Regards,
Steve Brooks (31 hours and still haven't fried my stock turbo...John)

Joe,
I saw the other day that you got you engine running,
but didn't take time to congratulate you.

Hey Steve - Good to hear from you! Did you get your 40hrs flown off
and move your plane back down/up to SC/NC (can't keep my Carolina's
straight!)?

I ran mine without a prop too initially.  I will tell
you, don't bother trying to do any tuning without the
prop.  You'll be wasting your time.  Ask me how I know
this.

Steve Brooks

As much as I'm afraid of it - I'll be mounting it tomorrow (probably)
- and figuring out how to keep the plane from going anywhere!
