But, today with blue, sunny skies and cools temps and with two = new main gear, high energy brake system, 450F flashpoint brake fluid = and my updated EC2, I had a great flight. Tracy's new algorithm or MAP = that he updated my EC2 with required no adjustment except at the lowest = idle setting where it was a bit rich. Elsewhere in the operating = spectrum the mixture control required no twitting. Have not had to = touch the mixture/map program knob. The engine runs smoother and I can pull the power back to 4.5 GPH flow = and still maintain 115 mph without the engine missing. Previously the = minimum was 5.5 GPH below which it would start missing. So I don't know (yet) what Tracy is doing different, but it really made = it a pleasure. I had planned to spend some time sitting on the ground = running the engine through the fuel map settings and adjusting them - = just wasn't necessary. Since I will have a 24 mph headwind component tomorrow, I should have no = problems on the way to Florida {:>), Looking forward to seeing many of = you there.
