The unit stores 4 data maps. Not sure how fast they load. I do intend to test this feature. Adkins told me he once had an injector problem in-flight and had to use the Controller to adjust the injector opening time to increase fuel until he could land. Sounds scary. I've got the LTX-8. I'm not sure what the differences are between theLTX-8 and the LTS-4. I've always heard that the MicroTech was a nice unit, but it's a car ECU, and I'm guessing it isn't designed with backup features built in. I haven't seen anything that would allow you to select which injectors to run on. As you say it does support "staged" injectors so the 2nd pair kick in at higher RPM - but no fail over capability. I 'spose if I was real quick I could reprogram the staged pair to kick in at a lower RPM - but in an emergency I think I'll opt for "fly-the-plane" versus programming :-). If I were going to set it up with 4 injectors I'd probably let the MicroTech think there were still only 2 and split the injector wires. That way if one failed I'd at least be getting something out of the rotor.
