Congrats on=20 the run Joe.

As for the=20 preferred number of injectors, I could make as much of a case for 2 as = 4. =20 When you consider that leaking, or sticking open is one of the more = common=20 failure modes, more isn't necessarily merrier.  It also = doubles the=20 number of high pressure fuel seals that would like to burn your = airplane up=20 if you give them half a chance.

In Tracy's=20 system, the staged injectors can be used to eliminate a faulty injector, = and run=20 on just two.  If the bad injector is stuck closed, or just being = erratic,=20 that's great, but if it's stuck open, it won't help as much.  It = may still=20 help, if you actually use the stuck open injector, and run at high = power. =20 All in all, I really like that feature of Tracy's EC-2, and I have = always run=20 injectors in pairs.

Now, as for=20 adding more injectors with the MicroTech, will this still work?  I = know you=20 can set it up for staged injectors, but can you (easily, in flight, = during an=20 emergency) tell it to disable a pair and make it up with the = others? =20 Maybe you can.  I don't know.  I've always heard that the = MicroTech was a nice unit, but it's a car ECU, and I'm guessing it = isn't=20 designed with backup features built in.

Cheers,
