However, when I first had my RV-3 flying I think I had less than $18,000 in it, including tools, hangar rent and S/H for parts. Of course that was without a paint job :) For the purpose of transport between Clearwater and Shady Bend an RV-4 might be more appropriate (more tools and building materials). But I think that will be well into the future. I don't thin I have the money for both building materials and a plane. I took a calculated risk by not having hull insurance and lost.
