Is this within the manufacturer's recommended charge range? Where are your batteries mounted? Are they in the cabin, or in the cowl? What temps do they see in summer/winter? =20 Mark=20 -----Original Message----- From: Rotary motors in aircraft [mailto:flyrotary@lancaironline.net] On Behalf Of WALTER B KERR Sent: Friday, September 09, 2005 3:25 PM To: Rotary motors in aircraft Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: Overvoltage control (help Ed A) On Fri, 9 Sep 2005 14:37:58 -0500 "Mark R Steitle" writes: > Is your internally regulated alternator adjustable? =20 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D No, but seems to charge my Odessey just fine. Have checked the amp-hours in the battery after airplane charged and after charging with a very fine charger that compensates for temp of day, type of battery , and it shows the same amp-hours in the battery. Is there something I am missing why I need an external regulator? Bernie -- Homepage: http://www.flyrotary.com/ Archive and UnSub: http://mail.lancaironline.net/lists/flyrotary/
