Trying to find tubing for my intake manifold. "Mandrel
bent" tubing is essential as "crush bent" tubing is
wavy on the inside and would disrupt the airflow.
Jeg's Racing Supply and Summit Racing both have a
selection. Summit's web pages are easier to negociate.
I Stumbled on a site called "Advanced Bulk &
Conveying" which lists a huge assortment of sizes and
bend radii in sizes from 1" Dia. to 8" Dia. radii from
1.75" to 72" in aluminum, Steel, 304 stainless, or
galvanized. Called their Calif. office talked to
"Paula" She said they will sell small orders. and gave
me a quote on a 16 ga steel 1 1/2" 90 degree bend with
a 2 1/2" radius and 4" tangents of $10.74. Pretty
reasonable. You can order different degrees of bend ie
15 degrees to 180 degrees. Things which are not
stocked take a week but she said do not cost more.
There Calif phone is 714-432-0500, Pennsylvania # is
724-588-9327.
