I just read on the RAH newsgroup last night that Eclipse is introducing a new system. From what I could tell, it is a can of powder that reacts with the atmosphere, eating up all the oxygen, when opened. The article said that it would last for 10yrs without maintenance, is not harmful to the ozone layer, and that it would only weigh a few ounzes (vs several pounds for a Halon system).
