Hi Bob,

I don't know what year it is.  I think Bruce has a pile of them and
just picked one.  I checked Tracy's oil cooler at Oshkosh, and his has
the side connections like yours. Then I forgot to ask him about input
and output.  Having the input and output on the side would have been
more convenient.

I may have to put a 180 hose fitting on it, cut a hole in the cowl and
make a bump there.  I'll have to take a closer look next trip to the
airport.  Thanks.

Bob,
What year model is the cooler that you have?  Attached are a couple of
photos of the cooler that I have.  It came with straight fittings, not banjo
fittings. I am not sure what size the fittings threads are.  I think the one
that I have is from an earlier model but I can't be positive of that.  The
diagram that is in the Haynes manual shows a drawing of the oil system that
has a cooler that is the same as in your picture.  It shows the inlet where
you indicate outlet and the outlet where you have the inlet.  If I use this
particular cooler it is my intention to mount it with the Thermostat facing
up.
