I tried to get the= oil springs installed correctly but at this point I'm double guessing= everything. I will check the oil vent line for mist and run a pressure check on the= coolant. Anyone have a cheap way do that--local Auto Zone, etc stores don't have a pressure tester to rent. I am going to run a compression test just to get some numbers but I'm getting good chugs when rotated. I premixed and am running the oil metering pump but I haven't seen oil in the lines. I plan= to investigate that later. I put about four ounces in four gallons of gas and have the= metering pump if it is working. Thanks for the suggestions. Jim =A0=A0Hi Jim, =A0=A0What shape were the side housings in?=A0 >=A0Were they smooth, flat, and all within specs?=A0=A0Were there any dark >=A0spots near the center hole of the housings?=A0=A0=A0=A0I can't recall who >=A0asked it, but making sure you put the oil springs in the proper >=A0direction is a good point.=A0=A0If those were allowed to spin, I bet >=A0the oil control o-rings wouldn't last long.=A0=A0=A0=A0Here's something >=A0else to look for.=A0=A0Check your oil vent line when you're running.=A0 >=A0Is there oil mist blowing out?=A0=A0If so, you're not only burning oil, >=A0but losing compression past the seals at the same time.=A0=A0This would >=A0be a bad sign.=A0=A0Ask me how I know this :-) =A0=A0If you're worried >=A0about the=A0coolant seals, there are some pressure tests you could do >=A0for that as well.=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0Are you running the oil metering pump, or pre- >=A0mix?=A0=A0Is there any chance you have=A0way too much oil with either?=A0=A0=A0=A0 >=A0 Good luck, Rusty (single rotor mount almost complete) =A0=A0
