I forgot to mention that if you really do want something other
than the stock heat shield then I've had good luck with "welders blanket". It
tough enough to withstand the fires of hell and it's cheap at your local welding
store (even cheaper at mill stores :-)

idea! This stuff isn't exactly dirt cheap, but 3000 degrees!
