Except for compression :o) In my case, I changed my filters and I always check religiously for water. In any event, once a filter is plugged up, it stays that way IIRC. My engine /always/ runs perfect on the ground, for however long I try and run it (short of over temping). I think mostly about fuel/air. Like I've said, it seems to be running 300 rpm LOP. That's what it feels like. CHTs are good, EGTs are a little erratic, but there. What could be causing symptoms of waaaaay over lean is the mystery to me. Still baffled after all these months ... One dose of fouled water passing through a celulose (Automotive style) filter will ruin it.
Thereafter lowered flow rate results. I think Leon has it right.
