Yeah. Like 4 of the last 5 winners of the national spelling bee were 1st or 2d generation orientals. As are most of the scholarship students in Ivy League schools. In 20-40 years we'll be a colony (albeit heavily armed) of China and/or India.
i believe these people are considered americans actually, since they were born here, just like 2nd generation germans, italians, jews, latinos.... i'm sure these people recognize the freedom they can express here and have no desire to allow their oppressive former homelands to take it away from them.
i thought it was the latino population that was going to become the next majority in the US. even the president speaks spanish.
perhaps an asian influence can renew an interest in improving our education system. the GI bill after WWII brought more progress to our nation thru education than we have ever seen since. i attend community college in a city with a strong vietnamese population. it is amazing to hear what kind of schedule some of these people will follow in order to get a better job, single with a child, working two jobs, six years of schooling ahead, they just keep plugging on. they impress me. certainly makes me look lazy. i'm not sure why you hate them so, perhaps you don't actually know any of these people.
kevin (here we go again!)
