You can get the same hangar without a wait at Fallbrook for $600. These are apparently big enough for 2 small planes. Square hangars with automatic openers and all.

After being on the waiting list for 7 years, it looks like I’ll have the choice of one of the old T-hangars at Oceanside in a month or so. 2715 ft runway, but at sea level and rarely over 80 degrees. The roof may leak, and the door may not work properly; but it’s “only” $400/mo.

I almost feel guilty about building a Delta now. Not quite, but almost.

For the typical GA flyer that gets out to the airport once EVERY weekend, the cheapest option boils down to a $100/flight premium. It almost makes the local rental fleet look atractive. Not quite, but almost.
