Maybe that’s why there is no square brass musing instruments? Their horns are all round to amplify the sound.

You're probably right, but the chance of breaking something goes up significantly if it isn't round. The flat sides will flex & encourage fatigue cracking if it isn't reinforced a lot (heavier).
